More than 500 runners and walkers joined forces on Saturday, March 27, 2010 in the First Annual Florida Brain Cancer Walk, and together raised more than $100,000 to benefit Florida-based brain cancer research projects and collaborations through Accelerate Brain Cancer Cure.The funds raised will be directed to Florida-based brain cancer research projects and collaborations at institutions such as: The McKnight Brain Cancer Institute of University of Florida, The Moffitt Cancer Center and Research Institute and Scripps Florida, The Scripps Research Institute.Top sponsors and teams included Rendina Companies, Genentech BioOncology, The Case Foundation and Palm Beach Yacht Brokerage & Friends.
