More than 130 golfers hit the greens for the inaugural “Raising the B.A.R.,” the Bruce A. Rendina Memorial Golf Tournament, raising more than $300,000 for the Rendina Family Foundation. The annual tournament, recently held at Breakers West Country Club in West Palm Beach, Fla., was launched by Rendina’s family to commemorate his life and legacy as one of the country’s most accomplished real estate developers and philanthropists. He passed away in December 2006.First place in the tournament was awarded to the foursome of Marc Roberts, Pat DiSalvo, John Chiste and Steve Utrecht; second place was awarded to Dan Messina, Neil Herbst, Michael Kennedy and Peter Reed; and third place went to Bill Corso, Don Brown, Neil Efron and Victor Leoni.“It was wonderful to see the community so wholeheartedly embrace this event, especially because it’s so deeply tied to our father’s spirit of generosity and helping others,” said Bruce’s son, Michael Rendina, senior vice president at Rendina Companies. “This foundation is one of his most important legacies to our family, and it’s an honor for us to continue his work.”The following companies and individuals sponsored the tournament: Anderson-Moore Construction Corp.; Bank of America; BDI Capital Management; Broad and Cassel; Brown Distributing; Cheney Brothers; Comiter, Singer & Baseman; Cotleur & Hearing, Inc.; Davis Stokes Collaborative; Don S.
